Ottawa Interior Editorial Photographer: Our Homes Fall 2013, Fraser House

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Sarah Hoy, editor of Our Homes for the City of Ottawa and they had a great project for me: a home by renowned Ottawa architect Christopher Simmonds.

What’s especially great about the interior photography on this project is that it was going to be the feature story (cover – yay!) and that the writer is someone I’ve worked with in the past; Andrea Tomkins. The home owner were there that day, which can be a little nerve-wracking since you may not take as many liberties with the space and awkward-looking positions to get the right shot if you had complete control, but they were incredibly accommodating and I couldn’t have had more fun on-site.

A gorgeous modern home, beautiful summer day and lovely hosts; a perfect assignment.
