Aaron and I went to see Pan’s Labyrinth on Sunday, it was damn good, very interesting, and violent. But I couldn’t help but think it was still a fairy tale that, though brutal at times, was still appropriate for your kids; if you taught them right. I’m afraid that we spend more time shielding the youth from the inevitabilities of life, and that there’s no great harm to show them a movie that takes a very serious approach to what evil men may do. I’m not saying that you *should* bring your kids, I’m just saying they could handle it if you’ve brought them up right, and that you believe you can expose them to human brutality.
This shot sort of reminds me of the organic style the creatures in the film had.
wow. gorgeous shot.
An interesting shot, yes. But a more interesting commentary!
Ahh these look a Little "crotchety " to me ….
Interesting perspective here – the bulb (?) is in focus, but so is a portion of the stem of one of the bulbs in front of it. I like it…
I'm beginning to think my oldest can handle it…he watched our dog, Zoie, eat a baby bunny rabbit, T-Rex style, just days before Easter. All he said was, "Zoie, spit that out!" Sadly he said it after the bunny had already been swallowed.
