I was up the 45th floor of the Royal Bank Plaza the other day and I popped off some quick shots out the window. I don’t explore heights too often, not because I’m afraid of them, I just don’t encounter them often. So I’m always impressed by the perspective it gives me.
I don’t really “get” Casa Loma, my friend Megan works there and when I went to see her the other day, there were tonnes of people crowding around to take pictures of the turrets and the entrance and stuff. That’s great, I mean, I did it too, sorta. But I wasn’t necessarily impressed. Maybe I’m […]
When I was a kid I would have gone straight for the soda, in fact, I still do. But the kids at this BBQ were all drinking water, which is better for you, but less caffeinated.
“Hey Jimmy, pull the lever on the right!” This reminds me of a mini game on the New Super Mario Brothers I’ve been playing on my DS. Something drops from the top and you have to draw lines in-between these pipes to help guide the item to the safe area on the bottom. The trick […]
When I went to UofT I thought Woodsworth college was a dump, their residence sure were. A good reason I stayed at home, so I never really got the University experience of my peers which appeard to be drugs, sex, and video games; so two out of three ain’t bad. A few years after I […]
I helped out a bit at the foundation’s AGM last night. I was pretty happy because I didn’t have to do much other than stand around in a suit (looking great by the way), and plugging a laptop into a projector. I love being the “tech-guy”.
I’m not going to try and take a lot of pictures of plants (since that’s really Paul’s thing), especially not with my 17-40mm, but I was asked to do so, and I’m fairly happy with the way this one turned out. Almost makes me want to get one of them Macro Lenses.
Back when dowloading videos on the internet was difficult and slow, some of my friends thought it would be cool to send me videos of people getting hit by trains. It’s everything you think it would be and more because, apparently, someone somewhere gets hit by a train every day.
I enjoy the company of these people immensely, so I felt it fitting that I post their image on here. I guarantee it won’t be the last time.
No Photoblog is complete without a shot of L.T.; she’s like a BLT without the Bacon… …Or is she?
I know this kid didn’t pee his pants, though I know only cool kids do. Nope, this guy was plain-old cuppin his junk, and that’s cool by me. He also insisted that I was a doo-doo head on his way by.
Leaving late from work has some advantages, for one the traffic will have calmed down. Except when a compact car hits a motorscyclist; then it slows down a bit.
These guys are everywhere, I know I “cheated” the first time, but this time is for real, these gnomes are everywhere! I just hope they’re not underpants gnomes: Stage 3 – Profit.
I had the pleasure of being the “official” foundation photographer for a meeting that took place at the beautiful Estates of Sunnybrook. Moira’s friends Olivia & Jeff were married there last year and we were fortunate enough to attend. And while the inside of the place was dark, and I’m still trying to figure out […]
By the creator of Ren & Stimpy, I got this dude *because* I was such a huge R&S fan at the time. Time has passed and nobody really seems to acknowledge his existence in my home, though I move with him, I too have neglected Jimmy over the years.
I love Toronto architecture, there are some buildings of age that have unique and beautiful decorations. What I like even more is that there’s a trend (or possibly legal obligations) to incorporate this original strucuture in newly fabricated buildings that go bigger and better. Some of them look like they belong in a comic from […]
The film festival is officiallly over, it was capped off with Cashback, which Aaron and I saw and, most importantly; Penelope. When this movie is released you must see it, the performances were equisite, the set and costume design superb, the story wonderful and light, and so very very funny. I am extremely impressed with […]
That’s a little phrase my friend Andrew Lieu used to say, out of context I don’t even remember if he was relating to the Bruce Willis movie or a nihilistic approach to sex. Does anyone else think it’s totally hard to scale a wall with a batarang and a rope? It’s hard enough for me […]
What is it about Italian girls that make them so hot? The Italians in my neighbourhood seem to have had a bit too much pasta, but when they’re young… sheesh, don’t get me started.
I literally almost tripped on this going the wrong way down College. Wrong way because I didn’t realize the lumps on the ground were installation art. Kensington Market is pretty awesome.
Bunny’s a pretty old dog now. She’s slow, deaf, loveable, and can’t make it up a steep incline on her own.
I’m not sure if that’s “smoggy” or not. This pile was *hidden* behind a shut-down diner, tires and canisters, what kills me about dumping is that we actually have city dumps; use those.
Monty is Moira’s mum’s cat. Craziest damn Siamese ever. His eyes twitch back and forth as he plans his clawed swipe, or even slight nibble, on your person. I’d assume that he would eat any one of us given the chance.
