I swear Christmas or “the holiday season” used to be more, well… *holidayee*. There used to be snow on the ground, a white Christmas wasn’t a myth or a heightened expectation, it was something that actually occurred. So now this phenomenon called snow is replaced with salty sidewalks and bitter-cold days, and I’m left wondering how I actually made all those snow forts when I was a kid. I remember going on my GT snow racer almost every day. Not just in February, which seems to be our real “winter” now, but over the Christmas holidays.
I know we’re not there yet, but I’ve already got a feeling like we should be pushing the season back a month and a half, just tip the calendar a bit because I think it’s off.
Very cool perspective. And it is that time of year!
Looks better with the dark grey surround..if you had more of the natural ornaments of the tree in the pic there would have been an interesting contrast…also very neat with the bulbs and the buds in comparative….
