Award Winning Ottawa Kitchens by Astro Design

The National Kitchen & Bath Association Ottawa Chapter held their Design awards this past weekend showcasing some of Ottawa’s best work. Two out of two Ottawa kitchen projects I photographed for Astro Design Centre came home with awards.

Classic/Traditional

Designed by Julia Enriquez, this classic/traditional kitchen won 1st place in it’s category. Of course I was blown away by that huge oven and marble backsplash. The top photo shows you just how much space this kitchen without getting bogged down with unnecessary complexity.

Contemporary/Modern

Dean Large put together this fantastic open-concept kitchen in a tucked-away condo in the Glebe. I loved how the relatively smaller stature of the kitchen didn’t inhibit a great range of large appliances, storage, and even a small work-station off to the side.

I was fortunate to photograph such fantastic work, and hope to see these same Kitchens in the upcoming GOHBA Housing Design Awards.
